It’s no secret that we have been itching to dive into the new e-commerce offering from Dioscouri for some time now and now that it’s here we are very happy to announce our first tienda template called Shopfront. Shopfront provides a crisp and clean interface for you to create your ideal Joomla shop putting your products in a beautiful, open layout that utilises our Zen Grid Framework.

It’s been a while since we created a dedicated shop template but now that we have a serious shop platform for Joomla we couldn’t resist. Tienda was created by the folks over at Dioscouri and “is a complete ecommerce extension for Joomla. Tienda is not a fork or bridge; it is a brand new extension designed and written from scratch on Joomla’s MVC framework and can therefore be easily modified or themed using Joomla’s templates.”
K2 Template
We are big fans of the K2 component for Joomla and every front end template we have released this year has come replete with a full K2 template. K2 is often described as Joomla 1.6 for Joomla 1.5 but in a nutshell it provides extra functionality that extends the content options and potential for Joomla.

Built on the Zen Grid Framework
Our Zen Grid framework makes it incredibly easy to make layout and colour changes to your site with zero templating or coding knowledge. No more digging into code to adjust the width of an element and logo replacement is a breeze. The new framework also sports a brand new template interface that puts the plethora of Zen Grid parameters into an easy to use and understand user interface.
Six Colour Schemes
Shopfront comes with six different colour themes for you to select the right feel for your online shop.
50+ Module Positions
There are 50+ module positions in this template and because its built on the Zen Grid framework it means that the module positions are the same as used in all other themes built using it. This means less overhead in learning where the positions are as well as learning how to configure them.
